Match Preview: Sevilla v Granada

Published on October 31, 2011 by   ·   No Comments

Sevilla remain unbeaten after rescuing a point against Racing Santander last Tuesday and manager Marcelino will have Freddie Kanoute and Fernando Navarro back available after both served their one-match bans after being sent-off against Barcelona.

However Alvaro Negredo is again out after suffering a recurrence of the injury that has kept him out for most of the month.

Granada also had two men red carded against Barca last time out so they will be missing Jaime Rincon and Dani Benitez through suspension.  David Cortes, Carlos Martins and Hassan Yebda are also out through injury as Granada tried to arrest a run of four games without scoring and six without a win at their Andalucian rivals.

Racing and Sporting Gijon’s recent return to form have also seen Granada slip to the bottom of the table, but Fabri Gonzalez’s men have produced some good football in that run and with better finishing could easily have got something from defeats at Sporting and Valencia in recent weeks.

Fact: Granada have lost all their away matches in the league this season, failing to score in all four.
