The latest Spain U-21 squad was named today, with a view to the European Championship qualifier against Croatia held in Osijek. Coach Luis Milla has the job of guiding the next generation of Spanish youngsters through the qualifying phase and he started in the right manner with back-to-back wins over Georgia. Firstly the Spain team travelled away and won 2-7 before succeeding once again back on home soil 2-0.
Martín Montoya returns to the U-21 group after being with the full squad last time around, while his Barcleona club mate Sergio Roberto misses out.
Atlético Madrid’s Koke returns to the squad after missing out through injury the Georgia games.
Croatia is currently bottom of the group without a win in two games, but do harness a talented squad.
