Spanish Under-19 squad named for Elite Round of qualifying

Spain have announced the 18 man squad to convene upon the ‘Soccer City’ of Las Rozas at a training camp, before moving onto Switzerland for the Elite Round of qualifying for the U-19 European Championships. Those very Championships are held in Romania this summer, from July 1st until August 20th.

Las Rozas will be camp from May 22nd until 28th as training takes place, before boarding a flight to Switzerland where they’ll take part in the tournament from May 29th until June 6th. Julen Lopetegui will overlook the U-19 as usual, after recently being handed a year extension to his contract with the National Team.

The squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Fernando Pacheco Flores (Real Madrid), Edgar Badia (Espanyol)

Defenders: Ignasi Miquel (Arsenal), Sergi Gómez, Marc Muniesa (both Barcelona), Daniel Carvajal (Real Madrid), Albert Blázquez, Jordi Amat (both Espanyol)

Midfielders: Koke (Atletico Madrid), Rafinha, Sergi Roberto (both Barcelona), Pablo Sarabia (Real Madrid), Rubén Pardo Gutiérrez (Real Sociedad), Isco (Valencia)

Attackers: Álvaro Morata (Real Madrid), Paco Alcacer (Valencia), Gerard Deulofeu (Barcelona) Luis Alberto (Sevilla)
